Inflow
Founded in late 1997, Inflow, Inc. provides equipment colocation and value-added services for mission-critical e-business and data communications applications through secure, redundant, carrier-neutral data network exchange facilities. The Company's focus is on small and medium-sized businesses with complex networking needs. Inflow operates thirteen state-of-the-art Internet data centers, or IDCs, in 12 markets in the United States. The Inflow colocation strategy is to 1) target Tier II Internet cities which are less competitive; 2) build smaller sized data centers which accelerates speed to market; and 3) focus on smaller enterprise and e-commerce companies which may have a higher need for Inflow's value-added services. The Company provides high-performance, reliable network connections to maximize the performance of its customers' applications which they, in turn, provide for their business partners and customers. Services provided include server equipment colocation, direct high-speed connections, redundant power, fire suppression and security systems. In addition, Inflow offers value-added services such as redundant multi-carrier Internet access, application monitoring, managed firewall services, web-site load balancing, content distribution, intelligent routing and data storage services.
In November 2004, Inflow announced it would merge with a subsidiary of Sungard Data Systems (public company NYSE: SDS). Inflow will be part of Sungard's disaster-recovery technology business, which will be spun off as Sungard Availability Services in Q1 2005 with over $1.2 billion in revenue. The merging of these two companies will provide Inflow's customers an even larger breadth of business continuity and professional services, global operating locations, an extraordinary brand and financial depth.
