The Professional Bull Riding Invitational arrived last week in Manhattan, the first of multiple cross-county locales that the real-life cowboys will compete at as part of the "Built Ford Tough" tour, which will end in Las Vegas this October.
On Friday evening, guys were feted at Madison Square Garden by the likes of Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton and New York GiantBear Pascoe. On Sunday, Cody Nance won the season opener. Valdiron de Oliveira, of Brazil, placed second this weekend.
In cowboy hats and button-up shirts featuring the names of their many sponsors, the PBR riders mingled with football players and fans, dining on antipasti and clams and drinking the occasional Pabst Blue Ribbon, a sponsor that happens to share the initials of the Professional Bull Riding organization.
